The Return of The Sentinel Blog

Greetings Sentinel readers,

Welcome to the new and improved Sentinel blog. What's that you say? "When the fuck did The Sentinel have a blog?" Oh, yes. Well, we had a blog for several months last year, but, unfortunately, no one read it. Ever. Maybe it's because UWeekly hosted it on their website and we didn't meet the pointless meat head story quota (see that lost UWeekly readers, that's called a play on words). Or maybe it's because we posted 12,000 word blogs that could have been articles in our print edition. Either way, our original blog crashed and burned, and ended up being a pretty annoying experience overall, so we decided to close shop for awhile.

We ended up leaving the blog on the shelf for a lot longer than we originally intended; we had a change of administration and had to replace quite a few really good writers, but the blog continued to stay on our minds and in our plans. And, now, finally, we have straightened out all of those other issues and I am proud to welcome you to the first blog post in our newly refurbished blog.

In the next few weeks we will continue to play with the layout and format of the blog. However, even as we continue to play with the look of the blog we will be posting our political musings, jokes, random thoughts, and whatever the hell else we feel like posting. You will now have something to abate your in between issues Sentinel cravings.

For those of you who remember our past blog, thanks for your past support, and we promise, this blog is going to be much more casual and hopefully a lot more fun to read. For those first experiencing The Sentinel blog, we hope it's everything you would expect from a Sentinel blog.
